this place marked for my re-birth

Thank you for setting foot in this space! If you followed my blog Bottari, then I thank you for coming back after my absence. I have been busy settling into a new life and tending to new roots. If you are a visitor here, then I hope you decide to stay awhile. This blog--a moment aglow--will document the sparks and shadows of my life here in Utah. I've found that this place, the American Southwest, is not only my birthplace but a place marked for my re-birth. This desert landscape has tremendous power to stir up my soul and stop me in my tracks. It was here that I married my heart's beat (CHB=Curly Haired Boy). We were sealed in the Manti Temple at the start of October, just when the leaves are blushing bright red and orange. (Photos courtesy of Ashley Thalman Photography)

It was here that CHB and I bought a home in American Fork that we plan to fill with jokes, babies, and hand-crafted furniture. There is a large workshop attached to our home wherein CHB will create said furniture while I read a book under Our Lady Sycamore.

It was here that I began full time employment at BYU's Museum of Art. As the Museum's School and Family Programs Educator, I fill my days swirling paint with littles and guiding families through our exhibitions. The full bodied joy I get from my job has yet to wane.
