Today I Dug My Trowel Into The Earth, And This Is What I Thought

There is so much curiosity in being a teacher; the world is reborn to you. The children's enthusiasm about the smallest details is contagious and lovely and delicious--art dances in beautifully haphazard design, the beetles and popping leaves of the outside world buzz and click in time. I love this about teaching. I love to be present in the flying energy of my students ricocheting off of the walls, the ceiling fan, the blue carpet. This is how I feel on my best days.
